This Beautiful Sisterhood of Books

Thoni Howard is a co-director with Dr. Kate Adams of the This Beautiful Sisterhood of Books database and recovery project that is currently under peer-review. Since 2017, she has oversaw the development of the database and digital strategy of the site. The database comprises more than 1,400 items written and edited by the original Women’s Literary Department was created for exhibition at the 1884 New Orleans World’s Fair. It includes books, journals, newspapers, and sheet music donated from across the US.
